Everyone knows about banya’s beneficial effects! Bathhouses also have a revitalizing effect in addition to its hygienic functions. Since ancient times many illnesses have been treated with the help of steam and people also steamed for prophylactic purposes in Russia. The most important thing in banya is hot and wet steam. It cleans the pores by expelling accumulated dirt from the upper layers of the skin, disinfects nose and throat cavities. Due to temperature difference the rate of blood circulation also changes, so thus exercising the heart muscle and blood vessels.
