Quite recently an ultramodern sauna designed during the last year promotional event when Turku had a cultural capital of Europe title opened in this town. This sauna corresponds to a hermetical floating house, and surrounding water landscape is projected through lens on the inner walls of the room.
But from the outside this building is not remarkable and people inside of it are invisible. Sauna is placed on the spa hotel territory – Villa Långvik (Tanskarlantie 9, 02420 Kirkkonummi). You can reach this sauna only by boat.
There are some other unusual saunas in Turku. Fairy sweating-room like an onion will start to function from June, 26. This project got a title “Dong Bell” as a part of “cultural capital” program.
